HDPE Pipes for Potable Water

PARG has the necessary equipment, trained and experienced engineers & staff to undertake the design, installation, testing and commissioning of large, complex projects like Rural and Urban Water Supply, Industrial Piping System, Marine outfall lines, Fuel Gas Supply systems and the likes. Quality of workmanship and timely delivery of systems ( in accordance with ISO 9001 standards ) and product approved by Bureau of Indian Standards are our strengths as is evident in many projects we have executed so far. HDPE emerges as a key solution for this application making it possible to drink clean water which is free from rust and corrosion. Not only does HDPE offer an ideal solution for drinking water but leads to tremendous amount of savings in the cost of pipes in comparison to pipes made from traditional materials. The advantages of HDPE are numerous coupled with low cost based on total life cycle analysis resulting in substantial savings. A very promising future exists for pipe application making it a very important sector in the field of plastics increasing the consumption of High Density Polyethylene. These pipes are a boon to our country due to its lower life cycle costs & its inherent advantages.

  • Durable and light weight – lasts for more than 50 years.
  • Smooth external and internal finish – flow is almost frictionless, so energy savings are upto 33.50%.
  • Corrosion resistant – inert to most acids & alkalis.
  • Comprehensive range – available from DN 20 to DN 200.
  • Joins easily & is leak proof.
  • Strong enough to last uneven static and dynamic loads.
  • Flexibility ensures smooth installation and trouble free functioning.

Standards we cover

HDPE Pipes & Accessories for transportation of potable water conforming to IS:4984-2016 , ISO:4427, IS:14333, EN 12201

Our HDPE plant is equipped to manufacture pipes in diameters ranging from 20 mm to 160 mm. Total processing capacity of the plant is over 2000 MT per annum. Pipes of pressure ratings ranging from 2 kgf to 20 kgf are manufactured. The group has capabilities to process all three grades of HDPE – namely PE 63, PE 80 and PE 100.

Dimension and Specifications

STANDARD DIMENSION RATIO (SDR) AND CORRESPONDING WALL THICKNESS OF PIPE
As Per IS 4984:2016 with latest amendment.

Note:
1. Tolerances calculated from (0.1 emin + 0.1) mm rounded up to the next 0.1 mm.
2. All pressure rating are calculated at 27oC and rounded up to nearest pressure class.
3. Considering operational problems, maximum wall thickness of pipes are considered around 130 mm.
